HSK Audio
WordFiles
We have just posted word files for the first
level of the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) vocabulary. The word files
can be found here on our Chinese FlashCards wordfile archive for both
Windows (here)
and Mobile Pocket PC versions (here).
The HSK committee has set forth four levels:
Beginning, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Chinese. The total
number of words on the HSK committee list is around 8840. We have just
posted the audio wordfiles for the beginner level and we will be
releasing wordfiles for the other 3 levels shortly.

Chinese Dictionary version 1.5 Released
We just have posted a new version of our
Chinese Dictionary - Version 1.5. This latest version includes the
latest CEDICT database which is now bundled with the downloadable
software so users no longer need to download and install the dictionary
databases manually.
As always this upgrade is free for registered users. Here is the

Updated Audio for Spanish and French FlashCards
The audio for our French and Spanish FlashCards wordfiles have been
totally rerecorded and the number of wordfiles now available has almost
doubled for both languages. The changes include both the Windows and the
Pocket PC/Windows Mobile versions of the wordfiles.

FlashCards Version 1.6 Rollout - UPDATE
We have now completed the roll-out of Version 1.6 for our FlashCards
software for the following languages (direct download links included):
Version 1.6 for the other languages will become available over the
next few weeks.

FlashCards Version 1.6 Rollout
We are currently rolling out
version 1.6 of our Flashcards software. This version does not add any
new features or functionality, or include any bug fixes and will not
require registration code updates.
Version 1.6 addresses some compatibility issues when using the software
in non-administrator mode in Windows Vista. It also includes further
security enhancements.
Japanese, Chinese and Korean FlashCards Version 1.6 have been posted so
far and the other languages will follow shortly.

New Versions of FlashCards Coming
New versions (1.5) of
Declan's FlashCards are being rolled out. This release includes a Reset
Wordfile option that zeros all word scores and resets the learning list
so that the wordfile can be tackled afresh. Also added has been the
ability to play the audio associated with words almost anywhere in the
program either by right clicking on the word for by clicking a small
speaker icon nearby. The French language version of this release was
posted today with all other languages to follow shortly.

Software on CD Option Now Available
We have started to roll out the option to order a CD copy the software
you purchase at Declan Software. The options is available for both
single software purchases and discount bundle purchases though the
process is slightly different in each case. Please see our

Software on CD Option Now Available
We are starting to roll out versions
of Audio FlashCards (for Windows Mobile/Pocket PC) that allow
audio wordfiles to be accessed off external storage cards. To
date we have completed the Japanese and Spanish versions.
The remaining languages will be completed over the next few days.
